About course pacing
Courses typically take 12 to 20 weeks to complete. Every course includes a suggested pacing plan organized by semester, with start and end dates that coordinate with the Valor Global Online school calendar. Students are encouraged to work at the pace that is best for them — there is no penalty for working behind or ahead of the suggested pacing, and pacing can be adjusted with your family and advisor based on your student's goals.
Full-year courses are split into Semester A and Semester B; both semesters must be completed to earn credit for the whole year. Single-semester courses may be taken during either semester.
Optional printed workbooks for elementary core courses (K–5)
A complete workbook set is available for purchase for all core elementary courses — Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies — for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Each set includes 8 workbooks: one per semester, per core subject. Workbooks are highly recommended for a structured, hands-on complement to the digital lessons.
All worksheets are also embedded directly within the online lessons, and families who prefer not to purchase workbooks may print worksheets at no additional cost.

No. You remain in independent study classes using Valor curriculum. We will still provide a report card and transcript with the credit for the course on it. We also track the grades.

Many states allow this, but districts differ. Provide them the Valor course list and accreditation letter; final decisions rest with the district.
